Digital radiography DR truDR (direct digital radiography)

A section of our hospital is equipped with a cutting-edge technology in radiology, the most sophisticated radiography system, the DR (direct digital radiography). It includes a high frequency x-ray with a 100% constant digital potential and automatic anatomic calibrator with laser sight which gives us more precise and perfect shots everytime.Thanks to its power, it's possible to reduce exposure time up to 1/360th's of a second, therefore producing very clear images. Since we cannot ask our patients to hold their breaths and not move, this is a great advantage in veterinary medecine so, we get a picture beyond compare to traditional radiography. Furthermore, the digital correction from the standards of our Dicom server allows us to optimize the images on our high definition monitors. The exposure factors are never too light nor too dark. No more problems associated with developement and very quick results compared to CR digital radiography that takes from 30 to 120 seconds (because the exposed cassette needs to be scanned over before being read), from 60 to 160 seconds with an automatic developer for conventional radiographs or 10 to 12 minutes with traditional methods of developement (manual tray as with photography), and whose results are often irregular.
The possibility of enlarging and telemedecine contributes to this product's versatility.

Our room is equipped with an anesthesia machine equipped to use isoflurane gas only (one of the safest) and a heart monitor which facilitates certain radiographic procedures like OFA certification.

Dental digital radiography (direct digital radiography)

In digital dental radiology, it offers the same advantages as our main radiology DR. It, however, detects dental problems such as cavitiess and periodontal disease and aids in treatment and prevention. The dental radiography system is also designed to take images of exotic animals such as birds. With the mobile image sensor, restraints that are often difficult and traumatic for birds, can be avoided.

Digital color doppler ultrasound, GE Logic 5 Pro

We aslo provide the service of ultrasound through the HVE, with an ultrasound GE Logic 5 machine, the most sophisticated on the market! This unit has a 100% digital color doppler, a power doppler, a pulse doppler, M mode, 3D reconstruction, communicates in Dicom and offers many other features. It is a sophisticated diagnostic tool whichallows for examination of structures located inside the body. It is an atraumatic technique (no surgery or anesthesia), painless, safe and without side-effects for the patient. It is particullarly useful for examining the heart, kidneys, liver, spleen, bladder and genitalia. This technique helps diagnose several digestive system problems like tumors, cysts and for screening of PKD (polycystic Kidney Disease) in cats at risk who would otherwise could only be confirmed with exploratory surgery. It is obviously very useful for diagnosis of gestation.

The advent of the ultrasound has eliminated many surgical procedures such as echo-guided fine needle aspirations (cytology), echo-guided biopsies (histopathology), absesses and cysts drainage, etc... Examination of the heart's interior greatly facilitates the accurate diagnosis of heart diseaseand choice of the appropriate treatment.
